Jewelry Care: How to Keep Your Blooms Eternal
Every piece of Verdanthands jewelry is a unique fragment of nature. Here is how to ensure your botanical treasures stay as vibrant as the day they arrived.

1. The "Last On, First Off" Rule
To protect your jewelry from chemicals found in daily products, follow this simple rule: Your jewelry should be the last thing you put on in the morning and the first thing you take off at night.

Avoid Perfumes & Lotions: Apply your scents, hairsprays, and creams before putting on your jewelry. Chemicals can react with the resin or tarnish the metal components.

Makeup First: Ensure your makeup is set before adding your botanical accessories to avoid any accidental staining or buildup.

2. Keep it Dry
While our resin-encapsulated flowers are durable, they are not waterproof.

No Swimming or Showering: Always remove your pieces before entering a pool, hot tub, or shower. Chlorine and saltwater can damage both the organic material and the gold-plated/silver elements.

Sweat Protection: We recommend removing your jewelry before intense workouts or sleeping to prevent moisture buildup and unnecessary wear.

3. Sun Exposure & Storage
Natural flowers are light-sensitive. Just like a bouquet in a window, prolonged exposure to harsh sunlight can cause colors to fade over time.

Store in the Dark: When you aren't wearing your jewelry, keep it in the original Verdanthands box or a dark, cool jewelry chest.

Avoid Extreme Heat: Do not leave your jewelry near heaters or on windowsills, as extreme temperature changes can affect the resin clarity.

4. Cleaning Your Botanical Treasures
To maintain that crystal-clear shine, a little gentle cleaning goes a long way.

Soft Cloth Only: Use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth (like a lens cloth) to gently buff away fingerprints or oils.

No Harsh Chemicals: Never use ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaners, or abrasive jewelry dips on botanical pieces.

5. Handling with Love
Because each piece contains real organic matter, they should be treated as wearable art.

Handle with Care: Although resin is strong, it can scratch or chip if dropped on hard surfaces or tossed into a crowded handbag.

Natural Aging: Please note that because we use real flowers, slight variations in color and shape are part of the charm of handmade botanical jewelry. Over many years, some flowers may develop a vintage "antique" tone, which is a natural process of organic beauty.
